This Privacy Policy describes how BreakTro ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, protects, and discloses information when you use the Minsnap mobile application (available on Google Play Store under package name com.morma) and associated web services at https://minsnap.web.app.
2. Information We Collect and How It Is Handled
- Account Information (Optional): If you choose to create an account or sign in with Google, we process your email address, display name, and unique user identifier (UID) via Google Firebase Authentication. This is used solely to authenticate your identity and synchronize settings.
- Local Knowledge Deck & Synapses: Your saved links, web summaries, notes, categories, and review reminders are stored in your device's private local storage. These items never leave your device unless you explicitly trigger cloud backup.
- Voice Recordings & Media Snaps: Audio notes and camera images are saved strictly within your private device storage (
context.filesDir) and are never uploaded to public servers. - Device & Advertising Identifiers: To serve advertisements that support the free tier of the app, Google AdMob may process non-sensitive device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID / GAID) in accordance with Google Play's Developer Program Policies and with your explicit consent where required by regional law.
3. Sub-Processors and Third-Party Integrations
We work exclusively with certified, industry-leading infrastructure providers:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC): Used for secure authentication, crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and hosting. Data is protected in transit via TLS 1.3.
- Google Gemini AI (Google LLC): Used for on-demand knowledge extraction and content synthesis. Text excerpts submitted for distillation are transmitted securely over TLS and are not used to train public foundational AI models.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC): Provides contextual and personalized ad delivery in compliance with Google Play Families and Advertising Policies.
- Google Play Billing (Google LLC): Manages secure in-app purchases and subscriptions. We never see or store your payment card or banking details.
- Google Drive API (Google LLC): Used exclusively when the user opts to enable private cloud backup. Data is stored in your personal Google Drive account in an app-specific folder (
drive.filescope). We do not access, view, or modify any other files in your Google Drive.
4. Your Data Rights & Right to Erasure
Regardless of your geographic location, Minsnap provides complete sovereignty over your data:
- Right to Export (Data Portability): You can export your entire knowledge deck in standard JSON format with a single tap in Settings.
- Right to Erasure (Complete Deletion): You can permanently delete your account and wipe all device and cloud data instantly within the app (Settings > Delete Account) or online at https://minsnap.web.app/delete-account.
5. Compliance with Regional Privacy Frameworks
🇮🇳 India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP)
In accordance with the DPDP Act 2023:

- Consent: All personal data processing is performed with explicit, informed consent for the specified purpose of personal knowledge management.
- Children's Privacy (Section 9): Minsnap does not knowingly process personal data of individuals under 18 years of age without verifiable parental consent, nor do we perform behavioral tracking on children.

Under EU Regulation 2016/679:
- Legal Bases: Processing is based on Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) and Contractual Necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) to deliver application features.
